CAN I TEST A VEHICLE BEFORE BUYING IT?

Absolutely! All of our retail vehicles are made available for test drive before purchase. And the best part? We can bring the test drive directly to you, within St. John's metro area!

 

Please note: All drivers are required to provide their valid Newfoundland drivers license at the start of a test drive.

WHAT FEES DO YOU CHARGE?

The only fees we will ever charge are those required by the department of motor registration. We collect these fees on their behalf and submit them when performing the vehicle transfer. Down East Auto Sales will not charge any surprise dealership or doc fees! Lenders may charge administration fees for financing.

HOW DO I TRANSFER THE VEHICLE OWNERSHIP INTO MY NAME?

The dealership performs the transfer when a retail vehicle is sold. This means that the customer does not need to make a trip to the motor registration office with transfer documents or inspection, as when buying a vehicle through private sale. The dealership is required to submit these documents on behalf of the customer.

WHAT TYPE OF INSPECTION IS PERFORMED BEFORE SALE?

All of our retail vehicles receive a motor vehicle inspection from an independent garage before being offered for test drive or sale. This is required by the department of motor registration. Please note that a Newfoundland motor vehicle inspection does not include any warranty.

DO YOU OFFER WARRANTY SERVICES?

Down East Auto Sales is an authorized retailer of Lubrico warranties! A wide selection of warranties are available for purchase. Plans vary by vehicle. See dealer for details.

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOMER FINANCING?

Down East Auto Sales is happy to help customers obtain financing, and is actively working to secure more financing sources to offer the best rates to our customers. Please call to inquire.

DO YOU OFFER ON-SITE SERVICE?

Yes, however on-site hours are reduced at this time to accommodate the overwhelming demand for our mobile test drives and sales. Mobile service started as a Covid-era measure and quickly became our most popular service!

HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU?

A phone call between 9:30am to 5:30pm at 771-7170 is the fastest way to receive assistance. Please leave a voicemail if your call is missed, and you will receive a response as soon as possible. Service through text message is not offered at this time.
